Two more people are now in custody related to a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

The arrests follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was one of the injured in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

Police detained a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault near the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Police were called at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of people hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
